1 Public information campaign regarding the advantages of biofuels and other renewable fuels usage, MEF NR.35/3.11.2008
Objectives:

The project originates from an objective necessity, having in view the adherence of Romania to EU and the assuming of the involved tasks. A correct information campaign of the population regarding the application of biofuels is absolutely necessary. This campaign has in aim the use, at large scale, of biofuels and the population awareness regarding their use, which does not imply only costs but also benefices:

  • a cleaner air which will be reflected in reducing the health budgets (by the decrease of the diseases caused by the environment quality, especially the respiratory ones);
  • possibility to create new jobs (the production of biofuels, the construction of biofuels installation, service, biofuel quality certification);
  • solving the waste problems: biogas obtaining;
  • possibility of multiple uses of by-products.

44 Experimental model for detection of cutaneous perforator vessels and determination of a clinically applicable algorithm in cutaneous flaps surgery, ANGIOCART
Objectives:
The simple or complex substance loss, deep or superficial, as a result of various etiological conditions (acute or sequel traumas, congenital malformations, post surgical defects) are still arousing the interest of the surgeons in finding the best fitted method for reconstruction. Those methods suppose to transfer structural and functional similar tissues. The main needs of such a method are low or absent donor site morbidity, and to realize the reconstruction by replacing like with like.
The development of the knowledge about the vascularisation of various tissular structures has encouraged the discovery of new flaps, the last described one being the perforator flaps; because the vascularisation of those flaps is assured by musculocutaneous or fasciocutaneous perforator vessels, flaps’ harvesting generate a lower donor site morbidity ( do not sacrify the main arteries, or some muscles, a.s.o.)

Until nowadays, it was described and used an important number of perforator flaps, transferred by microsurgical techniques, but only a small number of local perforator flaps was used in clinical practice; or it is well known that a like with like reconstruction, the use of local resources is the first choice. Our experience acquired by performing more than 100 local or regional microsurgicaly non-microvascular pedicled perforator flaps, microsurgical harvested but without microsurgical anastomosis, with good results and minimal morbidity, has determined us to find new perforator vessels all over the body, able to assure the better surviving of those flaps.

54 Research regarding the implementation of an advanced methodology to determine the Romanian wine blending formulas, system expert assisted, CUPEXVIN
Objectives:
The main objective of the project: developing an advanced methodology for blending wines, in order to obtain large lots with constant quality and typical traits. Making large homogeneous lots of wine with constant organoleptic and physicochemical properties will increase competitiveness and credibility of Romanian producers.
The objective of ICIA: to assess analytical recipes for wine blending, which was performed by interpretation and comparison of mathematical and statistical results obtained from gas chromatographic analysis of wine samples (control and blends), collected from ICDVV Valea Calugareasca and SCDVV Bujoru. Gas chromatographic technique (GC), a strong analytical method used for separation and quantitative determination of a wide variety of compounds in complex matrices, coupled with flame ionization detector (FID) was used for determination of volatile compounds, flavor characteristics of wines. GC-FID method was preferred for qualitative characterization and quantification of aroma compounds in wine samples, because of its advantages: considerable sensitivity and resolution, ease of operation, integration and calibration. Also, liquid-liquid extraction method and GC-FID technique are capable to determine volatile compounds in a wide range of concentrations and to generate a "fingerprint" that provides more information.
