Cancer risk assessment for populations chronically exposed to heavy metals
OBJECTIVES
  • establish the connexions between the heavy metals exposure of some population groups from Romania with the health state (morbidity) and the cancer risk.
DESCRIPTION
RESULTS ESTIMATED
  • data relative to the heavy metal exposure in an area significant from the population and surface points of view;
  • pollution maps of the area and dispersion models of the pollutants;
  • specialised standard procedures on low exposure dosage for the accredited labs;
  • unitary database for morbidity and mortality, part of the integrated database;
  • bank of environmental samples;
  • data base for environmental markers;
  • database for biological biomarkers;
  • models of heavy metal exposure;
  • database relatively integrated to heavy metal exposure;
  • statistic models for the heavy metal exposure cancer risk relation.
